We can’t wait to start posting Dive reports for 2010, but until then I left Reid’s big flounder report from last year.

Radio Island Rock Jetty/ May 9th 2008

Water temperature was 71 and the visibility was 10′ at high tide at 9am.

Our trip was canceled due to high winds and seas, so Captain James and Mate Reid took the little boat over to Radio Island rock jetty to get wet for fun. The Captain had issues with positive buoyancy with an AL80 and the 7 mil suit and no additional weights on the little boat. Reid continued on with his dive and 40 minutes later came back with 2 flounder, one a 10 pounder. It is nice to have a spot to dive when there is a gale at sea and its only 5 minutes by skiff from Casa Tortuga.
